Before you decide to take the easy way out and pick entirely pro-USA for your selections, THE IGLOO has already started up the Cold War. Stationed in America's heartland, Columbus Ohio, THE IGLOO's hate for Canada can only be topped by its hate for the former USSR!
THE IGLOO also HATES flamingos.
Good luck, we are all counting on you!
Can't wait for this - check out the Sunday 2/21 games! Insanely great hockey that day.

ReplyDeleteJust don't look at the dreadful games lined up for Saturday 2/20. What were they thinking there?
ReplyDeleteAll hopes for Team USA lay square on Ryan Miller's shoulders. If he pulls a Hasek in Nagano, they could grab gold, but he needs to be PERFECT. I'm talking 1.2 GAA or less.
The big news this Olympics is the use of the smaller NHL size rink. This marks the first time since NHL players have been allowed in the Olympics that the smaller ice is used. Previously, the larger rinks in Nagano, Salt Lake, and Turin have led to much more open ice action for skilled forwards to produce more scoring opportunities. The NHL has even concidered the larger rinks as a way to increase scoring, but the costs of both arena reconstruction and lost seating have countered any benefit that the change would produce.
Obviously Ben can't follow instructions - 2 entries posted, and a probable 3rd with the Pink Flamingo entry. I'll have no choice but to delete at least the two with his name on them if he doesn't tell us which team name he want to play!
ReplyDeleteI think the Ben vs Ben matchup should be very interesting. Could we see a judging controversy like Canadian Pairs Figure Skating where two seemingly equal teams are scored differently? THE IGLOO will put all the blame on the Russian Judge for sure. THE IGLOO may also call "fowl" and ask for PINK FLAMINGO to be eliminated from the competition as well.
